Arraybeion's Story
What brought me to ACT wasn’t some grand plan or moment of clarity—it was my father-in-law. He was a case manager at ACT and wouldn’t stop telling me how this school was a life-changing opportunity for young people. I kept brushing him off, saying I’d look into it, but I never really did.

Rock Bottom to Graduation
At the time, my life was in chaos. My fiancée was pregnant, I was unemployed, had no car, and I was battling a serious addiction that was draining what little money I had. I felt lost, stuck, and unsure of what my future held. Then one day, something shifted. I texted my father-in-law and told him I was ready to give the school a try. That same day, he showed up with a flyer and an application. He even offered to drive me to school for the first few weeks. That small act of support made a huge difference.
When I started at ACT, I decided during Mental Toughness Week that this was the place for me. For the first time in a long time, I didn’t feel judged or outcasted. I felt welcomed. Supported. Like I belonged. That’s not something you get at a traditional school. The teachers and staff at ACT are incredible. I’ve never felt so genuinely cared for by educators. Even Mr. Rossi, the founder, takes time out of his busy day to check in on students. There were times he shared food off his plate with me. That kind of compassion is rare—and it’s real here.
What drew me in was the CAMT (Certified Apartment Maintenance Technician) program. I’ve always been good with my hands, and this program felt like a natural fit. The instructors are patient, supportive, and work with you at your own pace. Since joining, I’ve earned my OSHA certification, forklift license, and multiple CAMT certifications.
Now, I’m about to graduate this June with my high school diploma—something I never thought I’d accomplish. I’ve been clean for over four months, and I face challenges with a new sense of confidence and purpose. ACT didn’t just educate me. It gave me a second chance. A future. And for that, I’ll always be grateful. I recommend this program 100% over traditional schooling. It changed my life—and it can change yours too.
